An undiscovered gem, the French-speaking Southern region of Wallonia boasts a strong golfing heritage that is only just being uncovered by golf enthusiasts from around the world (Golf Amis).


As yet Belgium is relatively undiscovered as a golf holiday destination and this is very strange because, take our word for it, this is a first class golf region (Driveline).



The best concentration of golf courses in Belgium is around Waterloo, only 10 km. east of 'Les Cinq Saules' and home to the magnificent Royal Waterloo Golf Club.

Horseriding

Horse lovers staying at 'Les Cinq Saules' may choose from five stables, all within a 5 km radius from the cottage: Poney Club (for children aged 4-16), Ecurie des Cattys, La Canardiere, Les Ecuries de la Potterie, and the Manege de la Cour au Bois.

Tennis

The tennis club of Braine-le-Chateau is located in the centre of Braine-le-Chateau, 2 km. from the cottage.

Activity parks

Aqualibi - an indoor tropical swimming pool complex with slides, jaccuzzis, solarium etc. Located in Wavre, 35 km. or 25 min. from 'Les Cinq Saules'.
Walibi - a major attraction park featuring rollercoasters, wild river rides, a free fall, and many attractions for younger children. Located in Wavre, 35 km. or 25 min. from 'Les Cinq Saules'.
Aventure Parc Wavre - an adventure parc for adults and children, offering climbing trails in the tree tops ... In Wavre, 40 km. or 30 min. from the cottage.
